Rate Tags

Every rate row is tagged with how the reservation is booked. Tap the tag to see what it means for that rate.

Direct Booking — Gondola books this rate with the hotel itself. Your reservation flows into the hotel's own app, and you earn hotel points and elite night credit as usual, plus Gondola Cash on top.

Third Party — A lower-priced rate Gondola secured through a wholesale partner instead of the hotel. The price is often below the hotel's own rate and you still earn Gondola Cash, but because the booking isn't made with the hotel, it doesn't earn hotel points or elite night credit, and elite benefits are up to the hotel. Gondola is the merchant of record on these rates, so we handle the charge, changes, and cancellations under that rate's policy.

How Rates Are Ordered

Rooms and cash rates are sorted by the total cost of your stay, not the nightly rate. A rate with a lower nightly price can carry higher taxes and fees, so ordering by the total is the honest comparison.

Cash vs Points

Compare cash and points side by side with your rates shown against historical pricing for that property, so you can easily see if you have an exceptional deal. Gondola does the math for you and highlights if paying cash or using points offers the better value.

Earnings Stack

The earnings stack shows exactly what you earn when you book. Gondola considers your linked credit cards and suggests the optimal way to pay in order to maximize your earnings. We'll stack that with your hotel points and perks and Gondola Cashback so you can see your total estimated earnings at a glance.

Room Filters

Filter available rooms by bed type or room category, like standard rooms, suites, or specialty rates such as AAA or points options. This helps you compare only the rooms that matter to you.

Two checkboxes narrow the rate list itself:

Refundable — Show only rates you can cancel. These are also the stays Gondola can monitor for price drops.

Direct only — Hide third-party inventory and show just the rates Gondola books with the hotel. Use it when hotel points, elite night credit, and elite benefits matter more than the lowest price. This filter only appears when the property has direct rates available, and it's on by default.

Calendar View

Scan pricing and points across nearby dates with the calendar view. If your dates are flexible, this is the quickest way to spot a better cash deal or a way to get more value from your points.

Alerts

Set alerts and get email updates when cash and points prices change for your searched dates.

You can also track any dates to get regular email updates when cash and points prices are low for the number of nights you specify.
