Using Gondola in Claude

The Gondola connector lets Claude search and compare travel with your Gondola account behind it. Once connected, Claude can look up hotels with cash and points rates side by side, predict whether a price is likely to move, read your loyalty balances and free-night certificates, manage rate alerts, and hand you a ready checkout link when you have picked a rate.

What Claude can do with Gondola

• Compare cash and points rates for hotels, with a cents-per-point value for every award rate so you can see when a redemption beats paying cash.
• Predict prices for a stay and show how today's rate compares with what the hotel has charged before.
• Search flights and rental cars with cash pricing. Award pricing for one-way flights is available when you ask about miles.
• Read your loyalty accounts: point balances, elite tiers, free-night certificates, suite upgrade awards, and flight credits.
• See your trips, upcoming and past, including flight details when Gondola has parsed them.
• Create and remove rate alerts so Gondola keeps watching a stay after the conversation ends.
• Hand you a checkout link for the exact hotel rate or rental car you chose. Flight search is discovery-only and names its source; flights cannot be booked through Gondola yet.

Beyond rate alerts, Claude cannot take actions on your account. It cannot charge a card, change a reservation, or edit your loyalty accounts through the connector.

Connect Gondola to Claude

1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and find Gondola in the directory.
2. Choose Connect. Claude sends you to gondola.ai to sign in.
3. Sign in to your Gondola account, or create one if you do not have one yet. Gondola is free.
4. Review the access screen and approve it. You land back in Claude with Gondola connected.

Every Gondola tool uses your account, so the sign-in happens once during setup rather than the first time you search. If you prefer to add Gondola as a custom connector, use the URL https://mcp.gondola.ai/mcp/auth.

Your traveler profile

Claude reads the traveler profile saved on your Gondola account: loyalty programs and elite tiers, home airport, preferred airlines and hotel chains, trip patterns, and any travel preferences stored there, such as "always a window seat" or "skip ground-floor rooms". It uses them to personalize recommendations without asking again.

Preferences get into that profile from Gondola itself. Gondola Concierge saves preferences you share in its own conversations, and you can write or edit them by hand. The Claude connector reads the profile but does not write to it. Searches you run through Claude are kept on your account, the same as searches on gondola.ai: hotel searches appear in your recent searches, and flight searches are logged with the prices Gondola saw. The rate alerts you ask Claude to create are saved, and if you ask Claude to prepare a flight for checkout, that selection is kept until it expires. Gondola does not store the rest of the conversation.

To review, edit, or clear the saved preferences:

1. Go to gondola.ai/concierge on a desktop browser and open the Traveler Profile panel using the notebook icon in the header.
2. Choose the pencil icon to edit. Remove any line you no longer want, or clear the whole text to delete every saved preference.
3. Save. The next conversation uses the updated profile.

The Travel Preferences screen in the Gondola mobile app (under Profile) holds preferences you write yourself. Entries Gondola Concierge has learned live in the web Traveler Profile panel above, so edit or clear them there.

Disconnecting

Remove Gondola from Claude's Connectors settings at any time. Claude loses access immediately. Your Gondola account, trips, alerts, and saved preferences stay as they are; manage them at gondola.ai or delete your account under Profile, then Account Information.
